Hi everyone.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.
Last month, Toni told you all about our Chrismas Brunch, where everyone shows up and we (I) cook them breakfast for Christmas. She also led you all to believe that I did everything possible to make as big a mess as I could, so I could later relax while watching her clean up all sorts of goo off everything. Well I wanted to give my version.
She pulled a fast one this year. A few days before Christmas she caught a virus, (I am trying to figure if she did it on purpose to get out of a few things), the doctor told her she was contagious and to avoid being around others. Well, we let everyone know to give them the option of staying away to avoid catching the stuff. Some of them didn't care they came anyway. So...while Toni kept her distance and watched me cook everything, (she was running around with a can of lysol spraying everything she touched), I cooked and served.
Everyone came and went and the mess was there. While all of a sudden she began feeling worse, I cleaned up everything spic and span, put everything away, and made it look as if nothing was ever cooked. About that time she "all of a sudden" felt better and offered to help, but it was already done. Next year when she tells you about her having to clean-up, remember, she owes me one.
On another note, those of you that know me know that one of my great joys in life is duck hunting. It saddens me to let you all know, that the cold weather brings ice to the marshes and freezes everthing up, bringing an early end to the season. Please help me make Toni understand when I console myself by drilling holes in that cursed ice, (well, yes on a lake instead of in the marsh, to catch fish instead of shoot ducks), I am only doing it to get over my depression, while finding another way to provide meat for the family. She just don't get it!
Warmly,
Steve Goodsell

Fun Facts
Smelling bananas and/or green apples (smelling, not eating) can help you lose weight!
Around the Home
When our shower head would get clogged with hard water deposites, I have always had Steve disconnect the shower head off from the hose and take it to the kitchen and place it in a bowl of vinegar.
There is a Much easier way!
Take a sandwich baggy and fill it with vinegar and a rubber band. Place the baggy around the shower head with the rubber band and let it sit for the day while your at work. This worked just as well, and I didn't have to bother Steve to do it.
This little secret I found on Pinterest.com, if you have not subscribed to it, I highly recommend it. It is an extremly useful tool especially if you are into crafts.
Let us Buy you Dinner!
Ok, so we are new at this but thought it would be fun. So if you can answer the riddle, email it to Steve or Toni and we will do a drawing to give away a $25 Applebees Giftcard.

A rooster lays an egg at the very top of a slanted roof. Which side is the egg going to roll off on?

Are you Credit Challenged?
I hear how it is so hard to get loan these days. I'm not saying that it doesn't take some work and dedication, it does. But there are options out there if you can stay focused on the prize.
Steve and I have had several couples that are credit challenged and have helped them to the point that they can now purchase a home. It has taken in some cases up to 6 months. We have had our preferred loan officer (Braidi Stookey) take a look at their credit and then make the determination if they are a good candidate for this program. So far the outcome has been successful and the people are happy with it. In the end their credit scores have came up enough to purchase a home and it has also in some case saved the buyer thousands of dollars in collection fees.
Now is the time to buy a home. If you are wanting to take advantage of this fabulous market before it goes away but you don't think your credit is good enough or you have judgments and collections, call Braidi and have her make that determination. She is the expert and I have seen her pull off some miracles. I'm not saying she can get everyone through but if it can be done and there is a way she can do it.
We are seeing inventory dropping. Once the inventory gets too low, prices will begin to climb back up. Now is the time to buy. Don't let it get by you.
To help we have talked Braidi into offering $1,000 off closing costs to an interested buyer.
