Business with a SMILE!
|
|
Business with a SMILE!
Many us can recognize a smile through the phone and will often return to a place of business if the customer service is OUTSTANDING! When people feel taken care of and important, in your business or life, they will be great friends and will return to do business with you! Fortunes Best Companies to work for all seem to know how to treat employees!
Why is a SMILE so lacking in many businesses and lives today? It's something that is contagious! Try sharing it all day and see what the results are in your home life, in business and with strangers!
One year a New York Retail Company realized how stressful Christmas was for their employees and shared this little bit of advice in their advertising.
It costs nothing, but creates much! It enriches those who receive it, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash & the memory of it sometimes lasts forever! None are so rich they can get along without it, & none so poor but are richer for it's benefits.
It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business & is the counter sign of friends. It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad & Nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody until it is given away. And if in the rush of everyday living, if a stranger on the street, a salesperson or anyone you make eye contact with should be too tired to give you a smile, may we ask that you leave one of yours? For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give!
It's good for business practice, good for the soul and beneficial to all mankind to give a kind smile to encourage yourself and someone else everyday!
Customer Service is KEY!!!

Score deals/Avoid Scams this Holiday Season
Some tips to help you take advantage of discounts on Black Friday & Cyber Monday! Must have phone apps-Pricegrabber, Snaptell, ShopSavvy, Redlaser & Amazon mobile. 34% of consumers use their mobile device while they shop in a store & 21% use the barcode scan tool to search the best price. 72% of consumers use their mobile device & receive product deals, price alerts & coupons.
Black Friday shopping tips-Make a list & stick to it! Do your homework! Use a price searh engine, such as Milo.com to find store deals in your area & ensure the product is in stock!
Compare sales-go to pricegrabber.com to compare sales price at different retailers. Get sale information early-to get the inside scoop, Join email lists of your favorite retailers. Many companies send emails leading up to sales to advertise deals. Avoid the crowd & go online instead! Macy's , Kohls & Wal-mart offer the same bargains onlne as they do in the stores.
Restaurant.com offers up to 60% SAVINGS on traditional and electronic gift cards.
Score big on Cyber Monday! Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day of the year, with exclusive online discounts the Monday after Black Friday. Nearly 77% of online retailers send promotional emails to subscribers in the days leading up to Cyber Monday
SCAMS - beware of pop-up adds online, your bank will NEVER- send you an email to verify your account or social security number, shred your paper statements, don't do any financial transactions on a public computer and if you plan to shop online purchase the latest antivirus and antispyware software.
Debit card scams - 1) Card theft-it seems your card is stuck in the machine, you leave they steal your card, 2) Double swipe- a staff member of a store swipes your card through a hidden device that duplicates the magnetic information, 3) Copycat technology- a tiny device that's inserted into a cash machine or gas station to record your card and PIN data, 4) Faux machines-thieves set up a phony ATM machine that records your card and PIN info and makes a duplicate card.
Be sure to review your account online daily for unauthorized charges. Unlike credit cards, when you're only responsible for $50 if it's lost or stolen you may be held responsible for unauthorized charges if you don't notify your bank within 2 days.
Happy Shopping!

NAHREP hosted a class on Selling HUD homes

NAHREP hosted a class on Selling HUD Homes
San Diego housing is on SALE! Education for realtors is important in order to educate your buyers! I learned a lot in a HUD homes class today, where a representative from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development came to share information about selling a HUD home.
Did you know? A buyer has no contingencies when buying a HUD home? If they chose to cancel, it’s up to HUD to decide ‘if’ they will cancel the contract and ‘if’ they will give the deposit back. They warned us not to overbid on the property because they do their own evaluation and price it accordingly. If your buyer overbids to get the property will need to come in with the difference, they will not give a reductionin price and they will likely not get their deposit back.
Realtors and lenders did you know? It is a criminal offense to use the words FHA and HUD in advertising? Only a direct lender can say they offer FHA financing, a loan officer has to advertise as government loans. They have let it go and are now going after people for misrepresentation. They are trying to protect borrowers from fraud and paying for services that are free.
I also learned, you should NEVER PAY FOR a list of HUD homes. There is a free list at HUDhomestore.com. You can also learn more about FHA financing and HUD homes at HUD.gov.
The class was very informative and enlightening! Thanks to NAHREP for hosting a great class!

The Health Benefits of Chlorophyll
|
|
The Health Benefits of Chlorophyll
Take a drive down historic Highway 101 any weekend and you will see many San Diegans exercising outside. San Diego weather gives us the opportunity to exercise outside on a regular basis. However, exercise is not enough. We San Diegans need to take care of our insides too. I believe that we can stay so much healthier by the choices we make with exercise, nutrition and even our taking care of our mental health.
I drink chlorophyll every day in my 1 gallon jug of water. Chlorophyll is known to cleanse the body, fight infection, help heal wounds, and promote health of the circulatory, digestive, and immune and detoxification systems. It increases the number of red blood cells, and therefore, increases oxygen utilization by the body. Wow! I instantly feel better after drinking a tablespoon in 8 oz of water or in orange juice. This stuff is great and makes drinking water much easier for me!
Chlorophyll is highly alkaline so it also has the following; anti Carcinogenic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, chelation of heavy metals, antiseptic, treats bad breath, rapid delivery of Magnesium and contains vitamin c, k, folic acid, iron, calcium and protein.

Resources For Families In Need, Storefront Homeless Teen Shelter
|

Resources For Families In Need/StoreFront Homeless Teen Shelter
Life has been difficult for many San Diego families in the past few years. Job losses, foreclosures, you name it.
There are many avenues to get help such as calling 211, which is a service that can help you find ways to pay rent, find local organizations that donate food or offer food at a discount. Even pay your light bill.
Salvation Army offers food for free once a month and there are churches that offer food for a week for $30, such as the Lighthouse in Oceanside. I’ve chosen to help the Teen Shelter in San Diego called Storefront.
Storefront is a safe place for homeless teens to get back on their feet and create a better life. They help these teens get back in school, get a job, and give them the ability to get their own place to live.
Storefront is a part of San Diego Youth Services (SDYS) which is a nationally recognized, comprehensive non-profit organization that has helped stabilize the lives of more than a half-million young people and their families since 1970.
I collect items to donate to the Storefront shelter, and if you are interested in helping out, please contact me. And remember, a little goes a long way.
