Armed with a travel suitcase full of spray-paint and God-given talent, Joseph is creating quite an impression. Recently, I took a risk and hired Joseph to paint a mural around my kitchen sink. What I got was something more than words alone could express. "Stunning" would come close, but "perfect" would be a more suitable term to describe the Oceanside Art by Joseph Rivas.
Joseph is aware that there is little room for error as a door to door artist, so he carries around a portfolio filled with some of his creations. As beautiful as they are, business can still be tough. Many homeowners are skeptical when strangers knock on their door to explain the services they offer; so Joseph makes his daily rounds to convince strangers that he wants to paint their curbs, mailboxes or fences.
 
For the most part, Joseph's only source of advertizing is the Oceanside Art by Joseph Rivas people see as they walk or drive around the South Oceanside streets. Perhaps the other source is his personality. When I first met Joseph, I didn't know what to think. He's full of energy, talkative and extremely motivated to work. Not your everyday character, but he is genuine.
Admittedly, the main reason I hired Joseph for the first time had little to do with his portfolio full of Oceanside Art by Joseph Rivas. It had more to do with his resolve and dedication to be successful in a struggling economy. A couple of months ago, Joseph knocked on my door and asked me to hire him- I didn't. The reason is that I wanted to see if he was going to come back with the same motivation and passion for his work as before.
Like clock-work, Joseph showed up again. His new introduction was more refined, and it was obvious that he was maturing as a professional. This is was what I was looking for, so I hired Joseph on the spot.
Joseph was so excited that I hired him he couldn't sleep the night before. He arrived at the agreed time, and went to task. He took his time and placed emphasis on every detail. The entire time, he was thanking me. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around!
After viewing the Oceanside Art by Joseph Rivas, my family has a hard time leaving the kitchen. Joseph put his heart and soul into the project I hired him to do- and it shows. Not only was Joseph's work worth every penny, but getting to know him was also a humbling experience.
My motivation for writing Oceanside Art by Joseph Rivas, was not only to help people get to know Joseph, but stems from the fact that life is a people business. Joseph understands that life is not a hand-out and you must go the extra mile to have a bid at success.
When it's all said and done, Joseph and I are quite alike. We both have to knock on doors to convince and ultimately prove to people that we are good at what we do. Joseph gets it- and I like that.
